I am currently a full time student at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). I am enrolled as a Secondary English Education Major and also an aspiring High School English teacher. My goals as a student are to graduate with my Bachelor’s Degree and start teaching as soon as possible. I am an older student that restarted my college journey this semester after a 13-year hiatus. This semester has been all about dusting off the cognitive cobwebs and remembering how to be a student.

 

Outside of my college life, I am a mom to a 15-year-old teenager, and the wife to an incredible husband. I have some extra-curricular activities, such as playing the piano and writing music, that I don’t have as much time for now since I started school. However, I plan to make more time for these activities on the much needed semester break.

 

Currently, I have some fur babies that I feel are in need of mentioning. I have a dog named Zelda and a cat named Luna. They are the members of the family that are the real owners of my house!
